The Chester County Bar Association’s "Preservation Campaign” is our plan to raise $1,000,000 in 5 years. This will allow us to eliminate the debt incurred through renovations to our building, completed in 2008 and 2010. These renovations resulted in securing new tenants, improving our CLE programs, providing a location for committee and section meetings, and a meeting place to host events for our community and members. These renovations also increased the balance of our mortgage debt to approximately $900,000. Additionally, threatening legislation as it relates to our Law Reporter appears to be more dire and imminent than ever. The loss of this revenue (which currently represents almost 40% of our annual revenue) would drastically impact our ability to provide the wide array of outstanding programs and services to our legal community and the citizens of Chester County.
We need YOU to commit to the preservation of YOUR bar association. Make your pledge today! With your help, we hope and expect to be reporting to you before the end of 2016 that we have not only reached, but exceeded, our goal!
