The Chester County Bar Association provides many services to its members and the community of Chester County by offering a variety of programs directed toward a better understanding of the legal system. Through the Association, members can expand their knowledge, enhance their practice and better fulfill their responsibility of providing efficient, skillful access to the legal system. Our member and public service programs provide opportunities for enhancement of your professional and personal goals. The Association provides many opportunities for its members to become involved in public service through the Pro Bono and Law Related Education programs, which have received national recognition from the American Bar Association. The Association offers the benefits of meeting and socializing with other members of the Chester County bar and bench in a setting that is often informal, always civil, and completely nonadversarial. This networking opportunity provides excellent access to opinion, experience, and advice from other attorneys and judges. Continuing Legal Education is available in a convenient and cost effective manner, especially in the Lunch-n-Learn Programs. In addition to member programs, the Association is dedicated to providing public services bridging the gap between the community and necessary legal services. The Association is highly focused on educational programs including Legal Education for Youth, People's Law School, and Law Explorers programs that give insight and knowledge as to the working and operation of the legal system. Other programs such as Mock Trial Competition, Stepping Out, and Essay Contest programs help the County's youth learn more legal and social responsibility and encourage the adoption of the legal profession as a career. |
