Lawyer Referral Service 2007

I understand and agree in consideration of my being permitted to participate as a member of the Lawyer Referral Service, that of the fees I receive as a result of referral made by the Lawyer Referral Service, I will rebate to the Service within fifteen (15) days of receipt 10% of all attorney’s fees received from any referral matter (excluding the $25 consultation fee).

I will comply with such periodic reporting requirements as may be necessary to ascertain the status of matters assigned by the Lawyer Referral Service. I understand that I will be allowed to receive referrals from the Service only as long as I comply with all rules, regulations and procedures.

I certify that I have professional liability insurance for the panels for which I have registered.

Rules and Regulations of LRS

1. Attorney agrees to personally grant a consultation for a fee of $25, (except for personal injury cases for which there shall be a free consultation). The Attorney agrees to be responsible for the case if accepted. Attorney will return the case to LRS if unwilling to deliver further services.

2. Attorney agrees to return the Referral Notice to LRS Office for each client referred. Attorney understands that failure to return Referral Notice will result in cessation of referrals.

3. Attorney agrees to maintain professional liability insurance in the amount of $100,000/$300,000 during the registration period for which this application is submitted.

3. Attorney agrees to return the client’s call as soon as possible, to refer client back to LRS if he/she cannot
accommodate him/her for any reason.

5. Attorney is responsible to show that he/she is licensed to practice in said jurisdiction.

6. Any panel member charged with a crime involving moral turpitude or crimen falsi, shall agree to suspend participation in the Lawyer Referral Service pending resolution of the charges in the attorney’s favor. The panel attorney will receive a pro rata refund of his or her membership fee, if requested.

7. Attorney agrees to execute and be bound by the attached Referral Service percentage fee agreement which is incorporated herein as if it were set forth at length.


REDUCED FEE REFERRALS FOR OLDER ADULTS

Optional Participation Available Only to LRS Participants

Older Adults Reduced Fee Cases are referred ONLY IN THOSE LRS PANELS in which you are registered.
1. Attorney agrees to grant a 1/2 hour consultation for $10.00 to all Older Adults.
2. Attorney agrees to charge a maximum of $50.00 per hour for lower income seniors as determined eligible.
3. Attorney agrees to register for the LRS program generally.
4. Attorney agrees to participate in training programs sponsored by the Chester County Office of Aging.

YOU MUST SEND A COPY OF THE FACE SHEET OF YOUR INSURANCE POLICY OR BINDER. YOUR REGISTRATION CANNOT BE PROCESSED WITHOUT PROOF OF PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE COVERAGE.

The registration fee is based on the number of years in practice, and the number of panels you would like to join. The prices below are for one office only.
